Where science and spirituality meet to propel human growth
Where science and spirituality meet to propel human growth
The highest revelation is that God is in every man – Ralph Waldo Emerson.
There are certain foundational principles one must understand if one is to study human nature. A great, ancient prophet revealed the most important of such principles when he stated that humans are made in the image and likeness of God. Depending on your viewpoint, you might not call this entity God. You might call him the Divine, The Infinite Intelligence, Omnipotence, the Great Spirit, or something else; it does not matter. Regardless, all major religions and scientific worldviews are founded on getting to know this all-encompassing entity more. You are made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:27), not as some old man with a white beard sitting in the sky getting mad at humans because they make mistakes. God is the Universal Spirit that encompasses everything. God is unlimited Love, Intelligence, Truth, Beauty, Law, and more. God is through all, in all, and over all. You are made in the image of the Universal Spirit that we call God. Jesus states, “God is Spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24)
So what does this mean? It means that as a child of God, you have the qualities of God. It is simply on a smaller scale. God is Spirit that created everything. God is an ocean; you are a drop out of that ocean. Even though the drop of water is much smaller, it still has the same properties as the ocean. Where God, the infinite Spirit, made the universe. You use your mind (or Spirit) to create your environment around you. God loves you and gave you the free will to do so. It is only through ignorance of this that we get ourselves into trouble and cause evil. Jesus taught all that he did so that we may keep our minds right and healthy so that we create a right and healthy environment around ourselves.
In one small example, Jesus stated that it is wrong to simply think about adultery (Matthew 5:27-28). Now, why would it be wrong to think about something unless our thoughts had some type of power or energy? Thoughts are things; they make metaphysical changes in our universe. Thoughts reside over matter and control and manipulate matter. Jesus said we only have to believe, and we can have anything we ask for in prayer (Mark 11:24-25). (We have to subconsciously believe as well, which is the tricky part). The Bible is primarily a book on psychology and metaphysics. When studying it, understand that the foundation is that we are all created in the image and likeness of God.
God gave you free will because he loves you, and that is what any loving father would do. God uses you to create in his universe. Keep your thoughts positive, clean, and right for your own benefit.
“What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create.” – Buddha
“The world is a mirror, forever reflecting what you are doing, within yourself.”– Neville Goddard.
